Tim Allen’s Rolex Watches

Every 90s kid would recognize comedian Tim Allen as Tim Taylor on Home Improvement or as Santa in the Disney Santa Clause trilogy. He’s still very much around — if not in the Fox sitcom, Last Man Standing, he’s being featured for his amazing vintage car collects ion.

While he has a wide and rather eclectic taste in automobiles, ranging from classic convertibles to muscle cars, his preference in watches is more subdued. Tim owns a small collects ion of Rolex, but each one is nothing short of iconic. Check out the Rolex watches of Tim Allen.

The watch most often spotted on Tim’s wrist is the 18k yellow gold, Cerachrom bezel, black dial GTNN Master II. The ref 116718 debuted in BaselWorld 2005 and is part of the first generation of Rolex watches to be upgraded with broader lugs, larger crown guards, Maxi dials, and the Cerachrom ceramic bezel.

Tim wears the stainless steel bezel version of the Rolex Submariner Date. The ref 16610 is a successful edition of the Submariner and remained in production from the 1980s until 2010. Here, we see Tim wearing a white dial, steel bezel Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in the 1999 movie, Galaxy Quest. Before the 2000s, the stainless steel Rolex Daytona ran on the automatic Caliber 4030, based on the Zenith El Primero’s Caliber 400. This earned the ref 16520 a special place in Rolex’s history as the first Daytona to run on a self-winding movement.

The Rolex Datejust has been immortalized in film as the go-to everyday t.mes piece of the accomplished man. In Home Improvement, Tim’s character wore a stainless steel and yellow gold Datejust. The classic finish makes it suitable for all occasions, from going to the office, around town, or even for formal events.
