First on our list is the Rolex Submariner‘s 50th Anniversary model, the “Kermit” with a vibrant green hue. Named by Rolex fans after the famous Muppet character, the first edition of this watch (ref 16610LV) features an aluminum green bezel insert, alongside a black dial.

Aside from being an anniversary model, the Kermit is notable for being the first Submariner to feature a modern Maxi dial with larger markers, hour and minute hands — giving a clear, highly visible reading in most environments.

A subtle example of the green treatment is the black dial Rolex Milgauss. The ref 116400GV, with GV standing for Glace Verte, features a remarkable green sapphire crystal over the dial.

Together with the orange lightning bolt-shaped hand on the dial and the orange index minute markers, it makes for a playful, standout t.mes piece. Besides the stunning green bezel, it also features a Maxi dial, which is topped with larger luminous markers and wider Mercedes hands.

The ref 116610LV has been discontinued and replaced with the newly released green Submariner Kermit in 2020, so collects ors are investing in the original Hulk model, making it one of the hottest models in the pre-owned market today.

For his eighth record Wimbledon title, tennis legend and Rolex ambassador, Roger Federer, chose to wear this Rolex Datejust 41. Featuring a two-tone steel and yellow gold finish and a grey dial with green Roman numeral hour markers, this specific dial has been fondly called “the Wimbledon” by fans.

This is the perfect watch to wear on the court. Not only does it feature a slimmer 41mm case that wears comfortably on the wrist, its subtle green Roman numerals are also a nod to the green fields of Wimbledon.

To celebrate the 60th year of the Rolex Day-Date, Rolex released the special green dial edition on the 40mm size, with an 18k Everose or 18k white gold construction. In place of the applied baton hour markers, faceted and stylized hour markers sit on the dial, completing the watch’s contemporary look.
